The Carteret Community College Board supports faculty’s integral role in creating an effective and welcoming learning environment through staying current in their disciplines, developing and updating curricula, and seeing continuous improvement through student learning data and program outcomes. These tasks, together with College service, professional development activities, and course contact hours, make up the 40-hour, fulltime faculty work week.
The College shall establish standards for faculty workloads and schedules in accordance with fulfilling the College’s mission to provide high-quality education, workforce training, and lifelong enrichment in an innovative and inclusive learning environment. The President, in conjunction with other appropriate administrative professionals shall ensure that procedures are in place regarding faculty workload and hours.
